Exchange Students In and Out Bound Update

Our inbound Malo from France arrived last Tuesday evening. He was greeted at the airport  by Tim Strange and wife Marylee, PP Marion Paden and PP, PDG and District YEO Jerry Burger. He is a delightful young man of who is attending Classen SAS. The Strange family  took him to Cattleman’s Saturday for lunch to meet our outbound exchange student, Brayden, son of our member Lauren Branch who will be Malo’s host family second semester. We fed him….you guessed it lamb fries! Tim asked him what he thought and he said “tastes good.” Tim then asked him if he knew what they were and he gave  a puzzled look, so then Tim asked him if he wanted to know and he said “I prefer not to know”…smart boy huh. He is off to a fun start!

8-25 Rotary Meeting dedicated to Bob Barry Jr.

Today, we honored the memory of Bob Barry Jr. who was our moderator ever since Bedlam 2004. A special presentation was made to Gina and to the family.

Bobby gave us so much joy as moderator of this event for eleven consecutive years. He was all in with Bedlam just like everything else he did. I know he enjoyed the program and I think he even looked forward to it. Russ Florence, our Program Chair for this year received this email from Bobby on April 24th ; “Wow Russ (lol)…this is BY FAR the earliest request I’ve *ever* received to host “Bedlam Rotary”.  Impressive.”Vintage Bobby . Gina accepted a helmet with the BBJ Memorial Luncheon 2015 emblem as a token of Rotary Club 29’s appreciation.   View Pictures from the 8-25-15 Bedlam Meeting
