ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD
Yeoman’s work, week after week delivering quality programs that our club is known for and frankly we’ve all come to expect. This IS the hardest job in the club and I have great respect and admiration for this man and the incredible job he has done this year. Maybe my favorite program and they’ve all been great was Sherriff Charlie Hangar who arrested Timothy McVeigh, he got up and spoke
from the heart for 30 minutes. Unfortunately this honoree can’t be with us today because he is making his annual trip to the College World Series where his OSU Cowboys are playing and WINNING, please help me recognize ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR Russ Florence

2015-16 Rotarian of the Year - Russ Florence Congratulations!

2015-16 Rotarian of the Year – Russ Florence
Congratulations!

And last but certainly not least, the person who arguably could be the rotarian of the year, for her selfless service starting with the board reception at our house last June, Wings hosting (while I was I was out of town), mothering our inbound RYE student Malo for  a combined stay at our house of 6 months, 14 days, 3 hours and 22 minutes including a farewell dinner Sunday night; my wife of 38 years, a fellow Rotarian, the “boss of Tim” to whom Club 29 proudly awards a Paul Harris Fellowship in her honor-  MARYLEE STRANGE.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY from 2015-16 RI President Ravi Ravindran “Through Rotary, we can take our gifts and make a genuine difference in the lives of others and in our world, WE can be a gift to the world.” And I believe we have been.
