District Rotary clubs, including OKC Rotary, working with the Piura Miraflores Club and other partners, have purchased equipment to train young people as auto and motorbike mechanics. A group from our district plans to travel to the project dedication in late September with an optional side trip to Machu Pichu.
The cost of flights through Lima is estimated at $1,600 with add-on charges for the excursion to Machu Pichu. OKC Rotary has received a district grant to award the first seven Rotarians who accompany the team $1,000 to defray costs.
