10-6_WCS_Medley 10-6_WCS-CalveyOur Global Grant for Auto Mechanics Training in Piura, Peru was approved by RI last week.  Working with partner clubs Stillwater Frontier and several Rotary Clubs from Turkey, we will supply the equipment for a training facility for young people in an impoverished part of northern Peru where they will learn to repair car and motorbike engines.  This type of work is in high demand and will enable these young people to get jobs at existing businesses or eventually to start their own repair business.  We anticipate a project dedication sometime in 2016 and will let all club members know as plans evolve.  We are also working on proposed projects in Panama, Rwanda, Turkey and Uganda.  Your generous donations to the Club 29 Foundation and to the Paul Harris Society of RI help make these projects possible.  This week Rotarians Bob Medley and Mary Jane Calvey will attend the Denta Project dedication in Bistrita, Romania.  Watch for updates on our web page.
