ONEPLEDGE
We have a surprise announcement from Debbie Forshee, chair of the OnePledge Committee; “President Tim, It is my great pleasure to inform you that through the generous donations of 206 Rotarians and an anonymous match of $5,000 by several other Rotarians we have surpassed our goal of $50,000 and will fully fund the Dictionary Project, The Junior Rotarian scholarship program and the International Projects. Congratulations to all for a job well done. BTW, we will continue to accept pledges and donations from those who have not yet pledged”.
REALLY FANTASTIC NEWS CATEGORY
As many of you may know Past President Jim Sharrock underwent a successful double transplant in Dallas last week. His wife Nancy writes “Sunday was a big day in Transplant World. Most significantly, the ventilator was removed, and Jim is breathing on his own. He is Hungry, Thirsty, Silly, Snoozey, Happy and Dopey all rolled into one lovable character tonight. He’s come a long way and still has a trying journey ahead, but it is happening for him. He knows that he has a highly functioning new heart and liver and is ready to take on any challenges he is certain to encounter in the next few days and weeks. We continue prayers of gratitude.”
Please keep Jim, Nancy and the family in your thoughts and prayers as they move forward in the recovery process.
