On a very sad note, District Governor Lance Phillips reports that John Blackwell, President of the Northwest Club and his wife were tragically killed in an automobile accident last Saturday.
Lance said “I first met John when I became a Rotarian. He was the long time District chair for RYLA and has always been very involved especially when dealing with youth. He stepped up to be the president this year when no one else wanted to do so and his vision and love for the NW OKC club was never in doubt. Our Rotary family lost and a great Rotarian but more saddening is the loss of a GREAT Man!!” No Services are scheduled yet and please keep the Blackwell family in your thoughts and prayers.
