Hungarian Refugee Crisis

As you know, refugees are streaming across Eastern Europe, needs are many. Our contact with the Budapest Rotary Club Henning Sorknaes, whom many of you have met, is  developing a plan of action to address the most pressing issues in the most appropriate areas.  One area is in north Serbia.  Club 29’s first Matching Grant project involved joining the Budapest-City and Senta Rotary Clubs to help upgrade cardio monitoring equipment in the local hospital in northern Serbia, approx. 20 miles from the area where the major refugee camps for are located.  Our goal for Club 29 is to raise $20,000.  $11,500 has already been pledged by our members and this will be matched 1/3 by District 5750 to help our fellow Rotarians alleviate the suffering of these refugees.  Thank you for support of this humanitarian effort.  Pledge HERE

Rotary Point Update

We continue our march towards fully funding Rotary Point. You all have  done an outstanding job in your support of our signature project. To date, we have collected over $204,000 with pledges from 364 Rotarians but we still have almost $86,000 to collect. Our goal is 100% participation from the club and NO gift is too small. Thank for your generosity towards this worthy goal and keep those pledges and contributions coming in
