A guest at today’s Rotary Club of Okla. City was Jason Houpt, son of Rotarian Jeff Houpt.
Jason is seven feet tall, an eagle scout, and valedictorian of Yukon High School. In addition , Jason scored 34 on the ACT and has a 4.3GPA.
Jason was in attendance to hear OSU Basketball coach Brad Underwood, who wanted to meet with Jason after today’s meeting!!

Congrats to Jeff, and much luck to Jason!

A number of members and their organizations have been recognized among the Metro 50 Fastest Growing Companies. They are:
Betsy Brunsteter of ADG, Michael Morrison of Comtech Design Print and Mail, Jim Bruza and Gary James of Frankfurt Short Bruza Associates, Brenda Jones Barwick of Jones PR, Alan Nieman and Dick Porter of Rockgate Financial Partners and Cameron Dawson of Staplegun.
A number of our members are among those helping lead the United Way campaign this year. They are Larry Nichols, Robert Clements, Chris Reen, Betsy Brunsteter, Todd Edmonds, John Higginbotham, Chris Kenney, Mike Turpen, Russ Florence, Judy Hatfield and Patti Davis.

Devery Youngblood has been named as the Founding CEO of Oklahoma Tomorrow, a statewide, private sector-led, independent organization that will focus on growing a diversified Oklahoma economy.


Please mark your calendars for the dedication of a Global grant project right here in Oklahoma City. Through the efforts of the West Rotary Club, Club 29, one of our international Rotary partners that wanted to participate in a project in America, Rotary Foundation matching funds and others a vision clinic was established at the Crossings Clinic which will be dedicated on October 6 at 6 p.m.

Remember that we are collecting funds for the victims of the devastating floods in Louisiana. Contributions will be matched by the Club 29 Foundation up to $10,000. Monies collected will be sent to Rotary District 6200 in Louisiana. Pledge/Pay
