• Past President of Men’s Dinner Club, when membership was over 600 men; While President, changed Father-son night where sons attended a dinner with their father to Father-child night.
• President of Oklahoma Delta Upsilon Corporation, when the corporation purchased a $4.1 million housing structure. Also conducted a capital campaign reaching gifts of $1.4 million.
• President and Chairman of Upward Transition (a local charity). While President, sold the decaying structure and purchased and moved to a new larger facility to aid those in need.

I served as a Trustee of the Oklahoma State University Foundation for 8 years, which gave me valuable insight into the importance of strong governance and processes.   In addition, during my 44-year career at Bank of Oklahoma, I worked with numerous foundation clients developing and implementing investment and spending policies and managing their investments.

Provide the  most relevant experience you have had outside the club that would prepare you for your nominated role:

For 38 years I worked at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation and was extensively involved in working with donors to support philanthropic activities supporting this community.  It would be an honor to bring this experience to the Rotary Foundation as it works with other donors and charities both in Oklahoma City and throughout the world.

I have the following experiences, outside of the club to prepare me for this nominated role:
– I’ve served as President of the National Middle School Association and on the board for 9 years. During my tenure, I monitored, examined and asked for verification of quarterly financial reports. This large organization financed multiple departmental, professional development and staff payroll items.
– I served as principal of elementary and secondary schools for 18+ years. Each year I managed my school site budgets.
– I am currently working consulting with a school district to review their staffing expenditures.
