Dear Rotarians,
Given the increasing spread of COVID-19 in our community and the increasing strains being placed upon our health systems, the Officers and Board of Directors have identified the need to adjust our approach to in-person meetings to protect the health of our members, guests, and the community at large. The board will be making the following changes, effective this Tuesday, August 24th and until further notice:
  • Everyone attending our Tuesday luncheon will be asked to wear a mask, except when eating. Masks will be available at registration.

  • As Rotarians, one of our areas of focus is preventing and fighting disease, most notably our efforts to eradicate Polio through vaccination. Rotary has announced it will tap into its decades of experience to help support COVID-19 vaccine education and delivery. (Read more here.) In keeping with Rotary’s mission of service above self, we strongly recommend that only those members and guests that are vaccinated attend our in-person meetings.
Making these adjustments will allow us to continue having in-person meetings with a reduced risk for everyone who attends. We will continue to offer a live stream of our meetings, and we will continuously monitor the ongoing COVID-19 developments to adjust our approach as needed. By implementing these changes, we hope to continue our meetings without having to return to a restricted number of people in the room or reservations requirements.
We appreciate all of our members’ patience and understanding as we continue to navigate these changing circumstances. Please contact a member of the board or the Rotary office if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Jerrod Shouse
President
