Claudia San Pedro serves as Head of the Limited Service Category and President of SONIC Drive-In, part of the Inspire family of restaurants. Inspire is a multi-brand restaurant company whose portfolio includes nearly 32,000 Arby’s, Baskin-Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin’, Jimmy John’s, Rusty Taco, and SONIC Drive-In restaurants worldwide.

San Pedro sets the strategic direction for SONIC and is responsible for overseeing the brand’s marketing, operations, and supply chain teams. She is also responsible for the growth and success of SONIC’s company-owned restaurants as well as the brand’s relationship with its franchise community.

San Pedro joined SONIC in 2006 as vice president of investor relations and treasurer. In that role, she directed financial planning, procurement, and investment of funds for the organization, formulated investor relations strategy, and oversaw communications with the investment community. San Pedro was promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer in 2015, and was responsible for SONIC’s financial planning practices, as well as the brand’s relationship with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community.

Prior to joining SONIC, she served as the director for the Oklahoma Office of State Finance (OSF). Appointed by Governor Brad Henry in 2005, San Pedro was the first female and first Hispanic to serve as director of state finance for Oklahoma.

Previously, San Pedro served as the assistant director of the Oklahoma State Senate fiscal staff and a staff budget analyst for the senate appropriations subcommittees on education, human services, and general government.
San Pedro currently serves on the boards of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, BOK Financial, and the Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools.

San Pedro is an alumna of Smith College in Massachusetts. She also received an MBA from the University of Oklahoma.

I am a Senior at Western Heights High School and my post-graduate plan is to attend OSU-OKC and achieve an associates degree in science and then transfer to UCO to get my bachelors degree in sociology. I have been recognized as an editor in yearbook and I am a finalist for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.

Talia Thompson – Putnam City North 

I will be graduating with honors from Putnam City North High School. In the past semester, I have attended All-State Choir, State Solo and Ensemble Contest for Choir, and have received the State Superintendent’s Award for Arts Excellence. I have also been nominated for the highest achievement at my school, Miss Panther. I will be attending the University of Oklahoma and majoring in Environmental Engineering. I have received multiple scholarships such the Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship, First Year Engineering Scholarship, and a full tuition waiver. I will also be part of the President’s Leadership Class.

Jessie Shelton –  Classen SAS N.E.

Jessie Shelton will graduate from Classen School of Advanced Studies at Northeast and will attend Rochester Institute for Technology in the fall to study Management Informations Systems. At Classen School of Advanced Studies at Northeast, she is involved in Health Occupation Students of America, Black Student Union, Art Club and is an active member in the OKCPS superintendent advisory Council. Outside of school, she spends most of her time with her immediate and extended family, fulfilling tasks such as babysitting, tutoring and general assistance. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, drawing and painting. Her future goals are to obtain an MBA and pursue a career as a software manager.

 

Chair of the Day: Reyna Sun  Harding Charter Preparatory

 I’ve recently received a Superior rating at District for Solo and Ensemble in orchestra and will be competing in State competition where Reyna received a Superior rating at State Contest for Solo and Ensemble. In Speech & Debate, I received Oklahoma West Regional Champion runner up in 5A monologue. I will be attending the University of California – Irvine as a psychology major and hope to become a clinical psychologist.

 

Intro of Visitors:    Ykin Vuong  Putnam City North  

I will be graduating with honors at Putnam City North High School with a 4.24 GPA. In the past months, I have been nominated for the highest achievement of Mister Panther at Putnam City North. I have also been accepted into Indiana University at Bloomington, Baylor University, but ultimately have decided to commit to the University of Oklahoma to attend the Price College of Business and major in Marketing. I have been awarded with the Distinction Award at Baylor and the Academic Achievement Award at OU.
