Jenni Carlson is a sports columnist at The Oklahoman, a job she started in 1999, left briefly a couple of years ago, then returned to in October 2024. She’s covered everything from Final Fours and Super Bowls to the Thunder’s run to the NBA title. But the thing she loves most is telling the stories of people who shape, change and love sports in our state.

Teddy Lehman is the color analyst for OU football. A former OU linebacker, he is also the co-host of “The Rush” with Tyler McComas on The REF 1400 and co-host of the Oklahoma Breakdown podcast with Gabe Ikard.

Teddy played for the University of Oklahoma from 2000 to 2003, after a standout career at Fort Gibson High School. During his collegiate career, he was a key member of OU’s 2000 national championship team, then was an all-American in 2002 and 2003. Teddy also won the Butkus Award, given to college football’s top linebacker, and the Bednarik Award, given to the top defensive player.

Teddy was a second-round draft pick of the Detroit Lions in 2003, then spent five years in the NFL. He played for the Lions, Buccaneers, Bills and Jaguars. After playing two years in the UFL, Teddy retired from football and started a career in sports media.

Deion Imade is the new sideline reporter for OSU football. A former OSU safety and linebacker, he is also the host and analyst on the Cowboy radio Network pregame and postgame show with Adam Hildebrandt and Clint Chelf, previewing games and brings a fresh, fun perspective from their days wearing the Orange and Black. Deion played for Oklahoma State University from 2010 to 2013, originally recruited as a safety after starring at Rowlett High School. During his collegiate career, he suffered an ACL injury but rebounded by switching to linebacker and emerging as a standout special teams contributor. In 2013, he was voted a team captain by his teammates, anchoring the defense and serving in a dual safety/linebacker role at the culmination of the season. After graduation, Deion transitioned into the broadcast booth and oil & gas accounting. In addition to his sideline and hosting duties, he serves as color analyst for the Cox’s Ford Game of the Week. Off the mic, he works as a senior oil‑and‑gas accountant for ONEOK in the Tulsa area and real estate investor.
