Lance McDaniel – Chair of the Day
Lance McDaniel is an Emmy nominated filmmaker who has worked on 21 feature films, including Oscar winner Million Dollar Baby. Lance is also Executive Director of the deadCenter Film Festival, an Oklahoma City based nonprofit that leads free film classes to 3,000 high school and technology center students each fall, provides quarterly seminars for working film professionals, and hosts Oklahoma’s largest film festival, attracting 35,000 to downtown Oklahoma City each June. Last year, deadCenter was selected as Oklahoma’s Outstanding Arts & Cultural Nonprofit.
Prior to working in film, Lance was an internet consultant in London, New York, and San Francisco, creating and managing the original websites for Starbucks, Levi’s, Harley Davidson, McDonalds, Star Wars, Virgin.com, British Airways, and Hard Rock Café. Lance holds an undergraduate degree from Stanford University, where he served as Senior Class President and a Masters in Film from Oklahoma City University.
