During the past few years, OKC Rotary has supported education projects with the Warsaw City Club in Warsaw, Poland. This month we funded our fourth project with them, “Stop Cancer.” Because of this continuing relationship, last summer they invited Club 29 to their annual meeting with their other partner clubs, Berlin Luftbrücke and Milano Nord. Mary Jane Calvey, Clayton Taylor, Ron Sutor and Larry Stone attended. This was a wonderful affair with ample opportunity to meet and develop relationships with Rotarians from other clubs. This also reinforces our policy to work primarily on international projects with people we know.

The Polish club has again extended an open invitation to any of our club members who would like to attend their annual meeting. This year, the meeting takes place May 8-12 in Bialowieźa, Poland, This provides a remarkable opportunity for our members to develop new Rotary friendships and get more than a taste of the international work we do. If you are interested, the organizers need to know our plans no later than February 28 so they can make reservations and provide suitable activities.

If interested, please contact Larry Stone or Mary Jane Calvey for details.
