Lana Ivy

Lana Ivy joined the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association (OOA) in November as their Executive Director. She leads all aspects of the organization, whose mission is to advocate for the osteopathic profession and to promote the health and well-being of all Oklahomans. In addition to her role as E.D., she serves as Secretary-Treasurer for the Oklahoma Educational Foundation for Osteopathic Medicine.
Ivy joined the OOA after serving as vice president of development at Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City since 2008. As part of the executive management team at DMEI, she led its development and external relations activities to increase the level of private support from corporations, foundations, patients, individuals, and resident alumni. During her tenure she was instrumental in completing a $47 million building campaign.
Her extensive experience in management and fundraising from her more than 30 years working in nonprofits and higher education includes the Oklahoma Zoological Society, St. Anthony Hospital Foundation, National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Oklahoma State University.
A certified professional fundraising executive, Ivy graduated from OSU with a Bachelor of Science in management before earning her Master of Business Administration also from OSU. In 2011, she was selected as OSU’s Spears School of Business Top 50 Distinguished MBA Alumni, and in 2013 Ivy received the Mike McDonald Outstanding Professional Fundraiser Award presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Oklahoma Chapter.
She is a member of Oklahoma City Rotary Club 29 where she serves as Chair of the Introductions of Visiting Guests and Rotarians Committee. Lana is a graduate of Leadership OKC Class XXII and is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, the Oklahoma Society of Association Executives, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the Oklahoma Planned Giving Council. She has served on the boards of OKC Youth Leadership Exchange, Association of Fundraising Professionals, and New Leash on Life, Inc. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering her time with nonprofits, traveling, mentoring youth, and spending time with her son and four sisters.
