Mike Beckham grew up in Oklahoma City and attended PC North High School from 1995-1998. During his time at PC North he played basketball, ran track, was a member of the debate team, and served as SUN Treasurer.

After high school Mike attended the University of Oklahoma on a Regents scholarship. There he was involved in leadership with a wide variety of campus activities, and he pursued a degree in Business with a major in Finance. Mike Beckham graduated summa cum laude from in 2003.

His career began with a nine-year tenure in full-time college ministry with the worldwide nonprofit Christian ministry CRU. In 2012, he transitioned to a full-time career focus of entrepreneurship. Since then, he has built several consumer brands that have collectively generated more than $2 billion in retail sales.

Today, Mike is the CEO and co-founder of Simple Modern, one of the world’s leading drinkware companies. Simple Modern has established major partnerships with Amazon, Target, and Walmart, and is a licensed partner for the NFL, NBA, NCAA, and Disney. Mike has also led the company to launch other brands like their new electrolyte company Trevi. Although Simple Modern has enjoyed tremendous financial success, Mike is most proud of the Simple Modern mission statement, “We exist to give generously.” Simple Modern is deeply committed to expressing this mission statement in a variety of ways, including donating over $10 million to worthy nonprofits over the past 4 years.

Mike is also passionate about mentorship and leadership. He serves as an advisor and mentor to several companies and aspiring entrepreneurs. In addition to his work in the business world, he is an elder at his church, the Senior Entrepreneur-in-Residence at OU, and a host of The Operators podcast.

He lives in Norman, Oklahoma, with his wife of 23 years, Heather, and their two children, Carter and Kenzie.
