Philip Busey, Jr.

Philip Busey Jr. is President of DRG. He has a Master of Liberal Arts in leadership and management from Oklahoma City University and a Bachelor of Arts in communication arts from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. In 2017, Philip Busey Jr. was named a distinguished alumnus of the Petree College of Arts and Sciences at Oklahoma City University. In 2013, he received the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Alumni Association Presidential Service Award. Busey Jr. has received numerous awards and recognitions from various publications and organizations for both community and work-related efforts and accomplishments. He serves as a trustee for the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Foundation. From 2023-2025, he served as the 10th chairman in the Foundation’s history. He is currently the board’s immediate past chairman. From 2016-2018, he was President of the SWOSU Alumni Association. Busey Jr. is also a trustee for the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Civic Center Music Hall Foundation, Friends of OETA, NewView Oklahoma, SSM Health St. Anthony Foundation and serves on the advisory council for USO Oklahoma. He is also a former board member of Oklahoma Contemporary. In 2009, he served as chairman of the Oklahoma City Chapter of the American Indian Chamber of Commerce. From 2010 to 2013, he served as chairman of the advisory council for the WINS (Washington Internship for Native Students) at the American University in Washington, DC. He lives in Oklahoma City with his wife, Heather and their two sons.
