What a dynamic time it is for our City, State and, of course, our Rotary Club! We have new leaders in many of our public offices AND a new Rotary Club 29 Executive Director.
My primary goal, as your President, is to make our Club even stronger than it is now. I am counting on all of us to make this happen by first working to improve members engagement. Secondarily, we need to continue to focus on new membership.
We must roll up our sleeves and work toward successfully accomplishing our local and global project initiatives. Engaged and active club members make it possible to serve communities at home and around the world. This coming year’s Rotary International theme is “Rotary Connects the World” – using our “connections” to allow talented, thoughtful, and generous people to take meaningful action through Rotary service. Just imagine what happens when Rotary’s 1.2 million members indeed put “Service Above Self” – and this starts with each club – our Club.
Thank you for the honor and privilege of being Club 29’s President for 2019-20. I am truly humbled and excited by this opportunity. My challenge to you is to stay connected and engaged this year, bringing others along to join us. It is going to be a great year, continuing old traditions and starting new ones – all while having FUN!
