Arts Council of Oklahoma City – Angela Cozby, Executive Director

Angela Cozby spent her early years in rural eastern Oklahoma before moving to Eufaula during middle school. She received a BS in Liberal Arts from the University of Central Oklahoma and an MBA from Oklahoma City University.  Cozby began her career curating exhibits at the Oklahoma State Capitol while managing the prominent Oklahoma State Art Collection.  In 2008, she accepted the Arts Council Oklahoma City Festival of the Arts Director position, where she was responsible for planning and implementing all aspects of the community event, which attracts over 550,000 people annually. As Vice President of Research & Planning for the Lynn Institute, Cozby gathered and analyzed in-depth qualitative and quantitative data to create community studies outlining barriers and supports for the health improvement of at-risk populations. In 2022, she rejoined Arts Council Oklahoma City as Executive Director. She is excited to boost the organization’s impact by expanding programming and exploring new opportunities to bring the arts and community together. She is a Leadership Oklahoma City Signature Class 38 member and was recognized as “Forty under 40” by OKCBIZ 2009 and Oklahoma Magazine 2010. In her free time, Cozby enjoys patio activities, spin classes, OKC art stuff, and snuggling her rescue pups – Theo and Bonnie.
