When I commit to participate as a member of any board, I’m all in! I show up prepared to the meetings; engage in discussions and board plans; and thoughtfully carry out my fiduciary duties to the entity I’m serving and represent. To my best recollection, I’ve never missed a board meeting of any of the entities I’ve served which include: Crossing Christian School Board; Bethany Childrens’ Hospital; Vizavance (formerly Prevent Blindness); Empower (formerly ESCCO); and Community Health Charities. My profession as a corporate lawyer also serves as a great foundation for understanding and appreciating the important role of directors.
