Rotary Club of Okla. City Preparedness Plan

 

Berry Tramel, a lifelong Oklahoman, sports fan and newspaper reader, joined The Oklahoman in 1991 and has served as beat writer, assistant sports editor, sports editor and columnist.

Tramel grew up reading four daily newspapers — The Oklahoman, the Oklahoma City Times, the Norman Transcript and the Oklahoma Journal — and entered the newspaper business at the age of 17, with the Transcript in 1978. His first game assignment was the Lexington-Elmore City high school football game, and he has enjoyed the journey ever since, from high school wrestling duals and regional track meets to Orange Bowls and the NBA playoffs.

Tramel was born and raised in Norman, Okla. He and his wife, Tricia, were married in 1980 and live in Norman near their daughter, son-in-law and three granddaughters.


Chair of the Day

Andy Rine serves as the Preconstruction Director for GE Johnson Construction Company where he oversees their Central Region preconstruction operations and is responsible for all project related work that occurs before the start of construction.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma.  Andy remains active with the College of Architecture, where he has chaired the Construction Science Professional Advisory Board, routinely serves as a guest lecturer, and was named Distinguished Alumni for 2015.

 Andy is a Founding Member and Past-President of OKC Midtown Rotary.  He has served Rotary District 5750 as the District Grants Chair, an Assistant District Governor and is a Paul Harris Fellow +7.  Andy currently serves on the Myriad Gardens Foundation Community Board and is a member of the OK County Criminal Justice Advisory Council Facilities Subcommittee. He is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City’s LOYAL and Signature programs and Leadership Oklahoma. Boomer Sooner
