Today we announced the OnePledge Committee’s selection of The Dragonfly Home for the Rotary Club of Oklahoma City’s 2023-2024 project.

The Dragonfly Home is a vital organization that specializes in providing comprehensive support and resources for victims/survivors of human trafficking. The Dragonfly Home is dedicated to helping victims/survivors rebuild their lives, regain their independence, and find healing.  They play a crucial role in raising awareness, offering safe spaces, and providing survivors with the tools and support they need to escape the cycle of exploitation.

Human trafficking is a pervasive issue that affects males and females of all ages and backgrounds, often hidden in plain sight. Human trafficking is the second largest and fastest-growing criminal industry in the world, behind drug trafficking and is defined by Oklahoma law as modern-day slavery.

Sadly, every year, The Dragonfly Home sees a substantial increase in those needing their services. By supporting The Dragonfly Home, we can make a real difference in the lives of those who have experienced unimaginable trauma. Together, we can help The Dragonfly Home continue its vital mission of ending human trafficking and assisting survivors on their journey of hope and healing.

Funds raised from members of The Rotary Club of Oklahoma City will help furnish and equip The Dragonfly Home’s Relief and Restoration Center, offering victims/survivors a safe and secure place where they can receive the help they so desperately need.

OnePledge is our Club’s annual project that not only funds our annual grant recipient, but also our High School Rotarian scholarships and Literacy Project. In addition to this year’s fundraising goal of $115,000, we also have a goal of 100% participation from our members.
