4/20 – Keri Cain and Jeffrey Frable: Marijuana Business in Oklahoma

Keri Cain is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a BS in Apparel Merchandising. She worked for Gap Inc. in the Dallas area for five years before joining headquarters in San Francisco, California in 2006.

As a member of the Store Operations team, Keri managed several workstreams including real estate operations (new stores, remodels, closures), customer experience, and daily operations. Under the daily operations umbrella, Keri created the stores policy and procedures, rolled out new store point of sale and back of house technology, and worked closely with the internal audit teams on store compliance.

Keri’s last position with Gap Inc. was as the Director of Store Operations (both Daily and Real Estate Operations) for all Gap and Gap Outlet North America stores. In July of 2018, Keri made the decision to move back to Oklahoma where she was tasked by Regent Bank’s CEO and CAO to create a Marijuana Related Business (MRB) program. As the Director of BSA Special Programs, her skills and experience of over 20 years in operations lends itself as a natural fit to create this program in the banking industry at Regent.

Keri has been working with Oklahoma and Missouri MRBs for two years and often works with financial institutions throughout the United State who are exploring the cannabis industry. Keri currently serves on the Board of Directors for OK4U Approved, a cannabis trade organization for OK.

Jeffrey A. Frable is a Certified Public Accountant and a partner at CCK Strategies. His major areas of practice include: small business organization and strategic planning; income tax consultation; cannabis taxation and reporting; audit and financial accounting services; and general business and non-profit organization consultation.  Jeff has technical expertise in aligning small business with strategic and proactive tax planning and general business and non-profit consultation.  He joined CCK Strategies in 1999 and has played a key role in developing a firm culture resulting in growth from 7 employees to currently over 100.
